Certifications
ISO 9001:2015
ECIT NORIAN is certified in accordance with ISO 9001:2015, the international standard for quality management. The certification confirms that our processes, services, and operations meet recognised requirements for consistency, improvement, and client satisfaction. It reflects our commitment to delivering finance operations you can rely on.
Code of Conduct
Our Code of Conduct sets out the principles that guide how we work – with clients, partners, and each other. It is grounded in the ethical framework for authorised accountants in Norway, covering integrity, objectivity, professionalism, confidentiality, and loyalty. For our clients, this means they can expect consistent, professional conduct from everyone they interact with at ECIT NORIAN.
Anti-corruption & gifts
ECIT NORIAN has zero tolerance for corruption in any form. Our guidelines on gifts and benefits are designed to protect our objectivity and the trust our clients place in us – ensuring that our advice and decisions are always made in their interest.
Data Processing Agreements & GDPR
As a provider of finance operations, we process sensitive financial and personal data on behalf of our clients every day. We treat that responsibility seriously. All data is handled lawfully, transparently, and with appropriate safeguards, in full compliance with GDPR. Clients can request our Data Processing Agreement and Privacy Policy at any time.
Data Processing Responsibility
Our Data Processing Policy describes how ECIT NORIAN collects, stores, uses, and protects personal data across our services. It is reviewed regularly and is available to clients, suppliers, and other interested parties upon request.
Confidentiality, Privacy and Information Security
Handling sensitive financial and personal data is central to our work. All employees are bound by confidentiality obligations, and access to client data is limited to those who need it to perform their role. We maintain technical and organisational safeguards – including secure systems, access controls, and regular training – to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.
Anti-MoneyLaundring (AML)
ECIT NORIAN takes its obligations as a reporting entity under the Norwegian Money Laundering Act seriously. We know our clients, suppliers, and partners – and our internal guidelines and continuous training ensure our people are equipped to identify and handle risks related to money laundering and other financial crime.
Sanctions
We comply with applicable local and international sanctions regulations and ensure our operations, client relationships, and partnerships are screened accordingly. Our sanctions compliance is kept up to date as regulations evolve.
EU AI Act
As AI becomes embedded in how we deliver finance operations, we are committed to responsible and transparent use. ECIT NORIAN follows the EU AI Act closely and works to ensure that our AI-driven services meet regulatory requirements – both those already in force and those being phased in. Our approach to AI compliance is described in further detail on our AI page.
Transparency act
Expectations of the CFO have changed dramatically in just a few years. Boards and senior leaders expect the finance director not only to confirm history, but to actively shape the way forward: capital allocation, pricing, M&A assessments, profitability analysis across segments, and forecasting tied to interest rates, currency and market conditions.
Yet much of the finance department’s capacity remains tied up in backward-looking work. A traditional year-end close often requires weeks of data collection, reconciliation, control and reporting – with the peaks concentrated in
ECIT NORIAN supports the purpose of the Norwegian Transparency Act — to promote respect for human rights and decent working conditions across our operations and supply chain. We conduct due diligence assessments and make our findings available upon request.
Supplier Expectations
We expect our suppliers and partners to uphold the same standards of ethical conduct we hold ourselves to. Our supplier expectations are aligned with the requirements set out in the Transparency Act.
Corporate Responsibility
Operating at scale across multiple markets carries responsibility beyond regulatory compliance. ECIT NORIAN works to integrate ethical and sustainable considerations into how we run our business — through our environmental commitments, our workplace standards, and how we engage with clients, suppliers, and the communities we operate in.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
At ECIT NORIAN, we believe a good working environment is a prerequisite for delivering quality. We work systematically with health, safety, and environment across all our offices. Our HSE work includes regular assessments, follow-up on working conditions, and a continuous focus on reducing our environmental footprint.
Sustainability
We recognise that how we operate has an impact beyond our own organisation. ECIT NORIAN works to integrate sustainability into our day-to-day business – through responsible procurement, reduced environmental impact, and a workplace culture built on inclusion and respect. We report on our sustainability work as part of our broader corporate responsibility obligations.
Breach & Whistleblowing
ECIT NORIAN takes non-compliance seriously. Clients and partners who wish to report concerns about our conduct are welcome to do so through our whistleblowing channel. Reports are handled confidentially, and we are committed to addressing all concerns in a proper and timely manner.
